You need speed going into the wall and a second jump timed to the moment of contact. Hit it and you fly off at an angle; miss it and you slide down the wall.

Sprint or slide toward a wall. The faster you arrive, the further you bounce.
Jump at the wall
Jump into the wall at an angle, not straight on, with your camera turning away from it.
Jump on contact
Press jump again the moment you touch the wall to kick off in the new direction.

Flow into a slide or keep strafing to carry the speed into your next move.
